The Age of Compromising "Christians"

We are living in an age where people-pleasing is leading us farther and farther away from the truth and the ways of God. We have fallen in love with the world and the things of the world.......but we want to hold on to our "I'm a Christian" label knowing fully well that we are not in anyway "Christ-Like" like the word Christian implies. We want the world and the desires of the flesh, but we want God to be okay with this. We even want Him to amend His holy standards to accommodate our flesh! Remarkable! In the midst of this twisting of standards, in an age where everyone wants to be a "Good girl gone bad", where evil prevails, darkness is desired, and the light and truth are shunned upon, God is still a HOLY God! His word still says that you cannot serve two masters and lukewarmness is still not good enough. You are either HOT or COLD. There's no in between with the things of God.

Being a Christian is to be Christ-Like in every aspect of our lives. People should be able to just look at you and your actions and know where you stand without guessing, "Oh I think he/she is a Christian".

"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit."- Matthew 12:23
"No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit."- Luke 6:23

If we are truly Christians, children of Light, our fruits ( deeds, speech, character, friends, engagements, etc) should reflect that. The world is slowly erasing the boundaries between what is good and what is bad. Desensitizing people and making it seem like there's no such thing as sin but do not be deceived. This is the lifestyle that the Bible calls lukewarmness and God is clear about the fate of lukewarm people.
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter."-Isaiah 5:20
"I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. I Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth."-Revelations 3:15-16

Being on the fence serves no purpose to God. If you are going to be for Him, then do it, if not, then stop pretending. He does not want 50% of you, or just you on Sundays. God desires ALL of you, ALL of the time. Honor Him at your places of work, honor Him on your college or school campuses, honor Him in the company of your friends and honor Him when no one is around. No compromising! God will not be mocked. Whatever we sow we shall reap. Society is making it seem like God is just a Loving God, but do not forget that He is a Just God, a Holy God. Sin is still against His nature and the wages of sin is death. Stop compromising yourself. The worst thing you can do is live on the fence, only to die and have God tell you, "I never knew you". The world is not worth your salvation.

Today's Memory Verse (T.M.V)
1 John 2:15-16
"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world."
